Andy uses exclusively Dean Markley Alchemy. Gold/Bronze Medium Gauge (13's).
And they're absolutely amazing. I use them and they've got unbeleivable sound quality and really high durability. Plus the coating makes for a simply out of this world sound with your guitar. At guitar center here in Reno, NV they run for about 13$ so I'd expect something like that around where you live.

acoustic dude lol, i.e. an acoustic guitar :oP
If you wanna try and recreate that sound I'd try and use a dreadnought too

your argument is so tired..
you have no place to judge whether a musician is putting emotion into his music or not. yes, technique =/= musicianship, but also, technique =/= lack of musicianship. if you come across someone who happens to play with more precision than you're used to, that doesn't mean that they're not feeling it.
with that said, have you even really checked out Andy's music, or are you just making quick judgments? how can you say Rylynn has no feeling behind the composition?

it's actually his part in the duet version both he and don ross play together.
I guess you fail for not knowing that.

If I wanted to play one of his songs, what kind of strings should i be looking at?
gel5miff (September 4, 2008 at 3:39 pm)
Like I said... you wouldn't be getting THEM (or those) harmonics from nylon strings. |
