I think his tone sucked on this.
The guitar was breaking up.
His lead break was average for stuff I've heard him do, too (having a bad day on lead)
Rest of the band was spot on.
Sammy was esp. good on this!
I think Ronnie became a more complete player in a few years after this (Open Fire LP)
Although the "Montrose" LP is in my personal to 50 best albums of all time.
A great band! I wonder why they couldn't..."Make It Last"! LOL

Great comments. I saw Montrose in Duluth in 70's as well, I think I saw that same tour with Black Oak "PacNWRealtor". I know for sure I saw Montose with Foghat. I was able to see Montrose again in the mid 90's at the Cabooze in Mpls. Ronnie Montrose is one of the best for sure.
