even Yogananda states the ever-alluring mountains of the east as being just mountains. i live in boulder, CO and they remind so many of Katmandu. to me they are just a reminder of the unmoving essence within, if that could be anymore new-aged. Yogananda did leave his teacher for some time and just met another teacher near the mountains whom told him to go back. The isolation may just cause greater doubt than any true spiritual revelation. ultimately language and mountains are inadequate.

The message is simple. We are all connected...Literally, through consciousness. This connection is real. All living things are connected through consciousness.

ruzickaw before posted ridiculously stupid comments how about you watch all his videos and then tell me what distinction he makes, o and don't go being proud of yourself because you can see lights, everyone can with a few days practice and clearly that's not what he said!

I think he means the foundatations of all religions come from a higher consciousness experience.. jesus, buddha, krishna etc... taught how to percive god/the wider reality WITHIN... but its become massievly distorted... god can only be realised within the domain of ones own consciousness.. this IMO seperates the spiritual from the religious. Also, aliens invalidate all religions, but not the existence of a creator.
