I was at Woodstock, and shortly after was
chosen by my friends and neighbors to win
a free all expense paid trip to Viet Nam.
Those were the good old days for me. Both
had something in common, I have never been
as high as I was for both events, but I was
aware that I was a part of history even
though some of my genration look down on
me and my compadres...I will never feel
ashamed!!

Hypercatjohn, please translate scumbag to English, what is /are people who "cake off tits"? Actually if you read my comment carefully, I did not say ALL people in the 1980s and later studied for SATs, only that those who did have very little awareness of history. Let's see, if all people of genius die young then we won't have missed anything in their later works, cause maybe they only had a couple records in them, and the rest of their lives would have been wasted by living ? ? Fascinating

Well they kind of do, enter terrorists, george bush's....haha...theyre all one in the same.

Lordy, that's a very self righteous statement isn't it! Let me hazard a guess at you classifying yourself in the pre 1980's league of super intelligent wonder beings? Also, the reply about those artists not realising their full potential due to dying through drugs? I think you'll notice most artists who have a string of successful releases who then pass away are heralded as genius. Just the way it goes. All the good music you've probably ever liked was written by people caked off their tits

Sadly, I think you might be right about that

I think we have a bi-modal group of people making comments here. People who are aware of history, and some of those who can't pass their SATs without studying. Nobody studied for SATs until the 1980''s when it became clear they did not have the background to take the test, so they needed a class over the test material before taking the test. The difference can be seen in those who can't understand the Lord of the Rings written for adults, but can get Harry Potter, written for pre-teens.

hypercatjohn my sources are many and various, including Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain and numerous friends who died too young to realize their full potential. Dying young doesn't make you a success, it makes you dead, and a sad comment on a lack of courage to face reality, and grow, and fail, a pull out of failure and succeed, and live and contribute and help other people to go through what you did. We all help lead each other through life. No matter the age, or wealth |
