Now way Robert didn't even record St Anger with Metallica they had some old dude covering the Bass tracks on St. Anger, Robert hasn't proven much to me, Cliff is the best for Metallica no one will ever be able to replace Cliff.

Metallica's Bass player Jason Newstead that replaced Cliff, quit cause Metallica treated him badly and wouldn't let him do a side project he was working on. But Cliff is the best for sure on bass to bad he died

i agree in some way, but it depends on the song. for example, harvester of sorrow sounded better in ther early 90s
