Your not alone in wondering where it went, mid-late 90's raps golden age, i'm afraid it's already peaked, this isn't hip hop anymore. it's different, it's all about how you say what you say, not your lyrical skill, and has a great deal to do with your production, if Kanye made beats for the Older guys, half these rappers wouldn't have jobs.
