I love Freddie's playing...but let's not be hasty in calling him "The Greatest". I think you should hear a lot of Woody Shaw and Fats Navarro before you declare a winner.

there is no such thing as the greatest trumpeter of all time because everyone has there own personal taste. which I think fusionfreq was trying to say. freddie was fit well in a lot of area's of trumpet playing, but not all. there are way to many elements of trumpet playing to be great at all of them. he may of been a hell of a jazz trumpet players and one of the best. but there is no "best" when it comes to trumpet playing.
