I saw this on Sportscenter. They broke in live when she was announced as the winner. I've never seen a room of Hollywood celebrities so genuinely moved. It's the best moment in the history of the Emmys.

This was the last time I watched the daytime emmys. I don't think there could be anything more climactic than this. I cried in 99 (who would think it watching the emmys) and this is the first time i've watched it again..and again..almost 10 yrs later..crying like an idiot watching YouTube...lol.. she deserved it!!

LOL, a month later on AMC, Erica was getting ready to go to Rio to have her face fixed, so they had her send herself 19 dozen pink roses. They said it was Erica's lucky number, but it was really to honor Susan and the fact that she'd finally won. It was a pretty awesome scene. Never seen that many flowers.

"...who saw me as more than an ethnic type...I was only supposed to be on every other Tuesday..." These two statements really struck a cord with me. Especially the one about being thought of as an ethnic type. It seems so strange to me that people with backgrounds in Italy, Greece, Southern France, Spain, and Portugal would be considered "Ethnic Types" since they are of European descent. Yet, it was true...I applaud Susan for pushing through that era of Rocky Balboa greasy Italian stereotypes.

This is Television History your watching. She deserves an Emmy every year for all the pass ups she got. I like how Everyone stood up for Her and applauded her for all her work. Susan Lucci is such a big part of this Country and I guess She's not really Phylis Dillers Daughter but Susan Lucci's Daughter (From Passions] is not a bad Actress either!
