Pushstarting a car is illegal of course, mostly if it is done in the SAFETY zone (as it happened here after first pushstarting at the chicane), but Senna followers are just to blind to face the stark reality.

Agreed, but I dont care if Prost had been an American and I was Balestre, I STILL would've sided with Senna because his car PHYSICALLY crossed the line first, and as far as im concerned thats ALL that matters.

isnt pushstarting a car illegal anyway?

Senna > All
Senna is Brazil, Senna is the face of Brazil... and this is me pride...

The problem between Senna and Prost I think started back when Senna was still driving a Toleman (or Lotus, can't remember) in Monaco. It started to rain, Senna started catching up with Prost, passed him and they decided to cancel the race right after Senna passed. By the rules, they considered one lap before when Senna was still catching up with Prost and Prost was considered winner. Now THAT'S BS!!!

Gringada que quizer entender o que eu vou falar que traduza. O Senna e o Prost iriam ser empurrados. O Prost saiu do carro e o Senna continuou na prova. Moral da História: Tiraram um título mundial do Senna.

plz.. prost won the 90´s championship by politics of F1!! what a shame!!!
SENNA IS THE BEST OF HIS TIME!!

patchy and erratic?? As has been stated below - "Prost NEVER crossed the finish line in 89 ahead of Senna." Now, I suggest you check and see by how much Senna beat Prost when they raced all the way to the finish. As for qualifying Prost only managed twice to outqualify Ayrton, in Canada and France. Personally, I'd back Hakkinen as Senna's fastest team-mate.

Well yeah Balestre admitted that Senna was disqualified because he favored his countryman, Prost. Regardless they were both damn good drivers. Mansell, Prost, and Senna made each other look brilliant and it was the greatest generation in F1. |
