Yeah but I would always try the door in first place. If the water fills in too fast you will be: A. Movement impaired by the water density, making it difficult to break any windows. B. Running low on oxygen quickly, and even quicker by exerting yourself.

theres another way to get out of water if the car is filled with water....but you need an item (forget what its called) but its used to punch out windows (more like shatter) and can be easily done =D

the date on the video was uploaded at 2007 but this was actualy done like 2002 or 2003 maybe and mythbusters wasnt out then so top gear done it first so you in the wrong

That's the idea, but it's hard to break a windshield/window without tools, and most people don't carry the right equipment to break windows in their car.

Are you stupid? First think before you say something. Its not so easy to break the glass, youre in shock, when youre in shock you dont know what to do so you start to panic, when you start to panic the car is under the water and you start to struggle which makes you to drown faster because youre using out the left oxigen too fast. Is it clear to you now?
