Lumix L1? No, thanks. I prefer dSLR cameras by Nikon or Canon to this one. It's because they really can provide better photos-especially in lowlight conditions. On the other hand, it's nice to take a photo with a compact digital camera by Panasonic on a sunny day:) To sum up, a Lumix is good as a backup camera, but not as the only camera:)

I think I might purchace it, I got a couple of film cameras such as the pentax spotmatic and love it. This is a very good looking camera and I really appreceate things like top shutter speed knobs. It makes it a whole lot easyer to use and alot more fun to use as well.

I really hate Lumix camera's, Specially their new DSLR. In comparison of picture quality with Canon and Nikon, i would never pick Lumix. But i may ignore all this just for the Manual control dial's. Really Really great idea of letting photographers to be a photographer =). But for a photographer, taking professional pictures is the biggest thing, I wish Canon introduce this sort of feature

It seems like a lot of people who aren't seriously into cameras wouldn't even know how to optimize a lot of the features on this camera. It's nice, though.
