c u dont really no wat a mercenary is. If i hire u to stand guard on a rooftop or run convoy security, ur a Security Contractor. If i hire you to go out and kill the nemy then u are a mercenary. the deference is that contractors work only defensivley, they cannot fire until fired upon, unless they are firing warning shots when running convoy. i havent read his book yet but i have read a number of others. i agree that blackwater needs to be watched but scahill is to onsided as you seem to be

Doesn't want to condemn them because Erik Prince, the guy who owns Black Water is a huge supporter of the Republican and Christian Right. They are also the reason that the insurrection at Fallujah happened. If a bunch of nut jobs were running around your town shooting civilians for no reason, and nobody stopped them you'd do something about it too. So educate yourself before you decide to spam the internet with what you think.

Hey retard, maybe you should actually go and read the book and consider what other people have to say before you spew idiotisms. In the book he tells how Black Water is essentially the private army of the executive branch which is - Constitutionally- illegal. And they are mercenaries, when your a hired gun, you are a mercenary. Black Water has also gotten away with killing dozens of Iraqi civilians, 9 times out of ten they were unprovoked, and they have all gotten off the hook because the govt.

Most of them are former military i should be treated with as much respect as our veterans.
