Its heavier than an aston martin for christ's sake. If they just put a twin turbo v8 in it like everyone else does and focused on keeping the weight down it could still be up there with the likes of the aero, the CCX-GT and the S7 but it would run a track better than it does now. Still, it is pretty amazing that it handles/breaks decently at all considering what it is. Imagine how much better it could be if it didn't weigh so much though.

One thing I read once said the Saleen S7 TT Competition was tested at 418km/h or 260mph but that is unconfirmed. It was in some Dutch article.

Overweight tank...yes. It weighs 4300lbs. Weight doesn't effect top speed. But it does effect handling which is why it isn't fast on a track. The car in this video has all the luxuries of the Veyron, minus the finess, is more comfortable and is faster top speed, track, and acceleration. That does it all, for half the price.

bugatti, overweight tank? yeah right. the bugatti does 254 and has all the luxuries you could ever want in a supercar. the fact that it can do it all makes it the #1 supercar. the veyron is beautiful.

yeah I was sort of wondering about how that new saleen didn't get up to 240 at least but if they didn't test it, I guess that explains that.

Absolutely true AlvinHDavernport. The SSC is very comfy with a top of the line experience. As for handling in its prototype stage when it had a supercharger it beat most cars in the slalom and skidpad. Actually it is more exclusive than the Veyron. Bugatti makes 300 Veyrons and SSC is only making 25 Ultimate Aero TT's. I don't know how many Koenigseggs are made. The Saleen S7 is an amazing car. I just wish they tested the street legal Competition version's topspeed. It has 1035hp.

I haven't been here in a while and it is nice to see people discuss cars logically. Thanks AlvinHDavernport, dsh5027, lololobol. Instead of arguing like 5 year olds you listen to each other and actually look at cars not just hype or biased criticism.
