I had to use an old Toshiba Tecra (circa 1996) as my school laptop a year and a half ago because my only other working laptop had no battery and crashed a lot.
The Tecra had Windows 95 until I recently upgraded it to Windows 2000. It has a 2 GB hard drive, 32 MB of RAM, Pentium, a CD drive, an external floppy drive, and a screen with a resolution of 800x600. Amazingly, it has a working modem and, when docked, can use the Internet. (I can also add USB or Wi-Fi functionality with PCMCIA cards.)

My dad's friend gave me one of those, minus the OS...no use to me, so i turned around and put it for sale at a car show/flea market. Made $35 bucks off it.

i hve an old toshiba satellite! i think mine is older than yours: 1.4GB hard disk, Pentium 133mhz processor, i expanded the ram in it to 80mb (mine could hold up to 144mb!) standard ram is 16mb i think. the model is 220cds. I must say it i much more reliable hn any other windows machine out there.

Tha camera you are using must be about the same age, jeez. I threw out all my old pc's, with good reason too.

yeah, i mean in todays standards its old, but not really. really old to me would be a 486 running windows 3.x on one of those old laptops that has the brightness slider on the side of the screen! hehe
