There is a maintenance phase of it that represents what your diet or way of eating should look like forever. It is much less restrictive and depends upon learning the lessons in the Ongoing Weight Loss and Pre-Maintenance phase on how well your body tolerates the increased carbs and food options.

I tried the Atkins Diet but when I came off I just packed on the pounds again. Was I supposed to be on it forever?

Yes, there are lots of us who lift weights on this diet. Some of the big names in weight lifting like Charles Poliquin advocate the low carb approach.

I have a Word doc of recipes, but you can find most of them at Linda's Low Carb Recipe Website. It is THE source for low carb recipes.

One other question, is weight lifting OK with this regimen? Thank you!

Do you have any good recipes? I just started the regimen again and know it works, however I need some recipes. Thank you!:)
