What is wrong with the host?? Robert is talking quite seriously about stuff he obviously had fears about, and that mattered - i mean, it was pretty important the audience understood it was all meant in the right way, lol - and the guy keep laughing and interrupting! *luuunatic*

I'm right with you there, man. Actually, I like most of the stuff that he came up with on the cast audio commentary more than what he did in the movie - but everything that Kirk Lazarus/Lincoln Osiris says in Tropic Thunder is comedic gold.
