I have heard the differences about ABA/NBA and so on but the ABA had the same mentality as the NBA towards minorities in ownership and coaching as well the media.

Nice vid man!!! Plain and simple the aba had more soul and better players, while the nba had big areanas, money, and T V ESPOSURE, hence the merger

Thanks for posting this. I loved the ABA when I was a kid. I didn't even follow the NBA until after the merger. The ABA was just so much more exciting than the old staid NBA. Just wish there was some Spirits of St. Louis games on video.

Uh, more like Remembering Dr. J. Also, what's with the NBA clips esp. that one of the Big O feeding (what looks like) Alcindor. Was thinking this would be Willie Wise, Zelmo Beaty, Louie Dampier, Roger Brown, Mel Daniels, Mack Calvin even NBA jumpers Rick Barry or Billy Cunningham...oh well.

im sorry from what i have seen and of the aba it was leaps and bounds ahead of the NBA some might even say the nba became the aba in terms of the style of play. the nba might have won the battle but the aba won the war
