It doesn't make a difference if bluetooth is not discoverable. I can still find your BT_Addr and if I have that one I can connect.

im guessing that you could just dump all raw data and determine a device ID from teh handshakes happening between the remote device and other devices? not 100 % sure

and yes be careful, just don't have bluetooth on unless you are using it, and turn it off when you quit using it.
