I think this camere is so nice, but I havent test it yet underwater, But I am very happy with Macro video option. I got in Taiwan for about AUS$400 and it came with an extra battery and 8GB card. Not too bad considering the camera is about $650 dollars in Australia.

Cool and congratz :) The camera which I read about was tested in water at 1.2 meter and leaked shortly hereafter. It wasn't meant to scare you off or anything... glad your glad hehe :)

lol, thanks, i already purchased this camera about 2 weeks ago, its freaking fantastic! definately waterproof, as long as you make sure to not go too deep, and make sure the cover for the battery is closed all the way and the seals are clean.. i love the hell out of it!

I've just read a review stating that this camera isn't waterproof and the reviewers did not by any means recommend this camera - the camera's LCD display was leaking in water and broke - another place I read that a user of youtube actually bought it, and had the same experience, and Sanyo declined to take the broken piece back, stating it was her own fault - without even taking a look on it... Don't now if this was by coincidence, but I would think twice before buying..
