Saw this magic movie on BP too in 1970 or so.I remember thinking - I'm not the only one that thinks we are all part of life's rich pattern. Made "lifeline" in 2002 to celebrate!Peter Neilson of Neilson Hordell provided the rostrum camera

i always thought that PB was full of weird and wonderful things sometimes very surreal. Alan Rothwell was the mysterious almost enigmatic presenter who had a look which would almost say "dont worry kids, it isnt real - or is it??"

dunno why or how this popped into my head,but it did! God bless youtube! however, i remember seeing this on 'Picture Box' which was presented by Alan Rothwell. not entirely sure if it was shown on Blue Peter -perhaps it was, i might've missed that one. you got the era correct though sure enough and i like many others remember having my mind completely blown by this short film -far too much for a kid of around 9 or 10 being able to comprehend!

the films 'cosmos' and 'men in black' seem to pay homage to this film. At least i was reminded of it when i saw those films.
