One of my drummer-friends had a 300ZX and it went all the way to 350,000 miles before it finally gave up. He got a new JDM engine for it, and the older engine ran on a very respectable level compared to the new engine.

afterrain, years back I had an 84 civic-216,000 miles, 85 civic-245,000, 94 Infiniti G20-265,000 miles. Japs are very reliable. Now I'd love to buy an Audi, but I've heard that they're not as reliable. This video shows something very positive.

the 1.8t are not as reliable as the 2.8 v6's. i would say they are both great cars and yes make sure the timing belt was done recently or atleast at 90,000-100,000 miles. i personally have a 2.8 and love it. they are expensive to fix but my dad was one of the best mechanics in the country for 19 years. get one and join the fun

Not that I have anything against Audis, I love the A4 Avant and Sedan.

HUH? 215k is easy for Japanese cars, when I was in the States, my G20 (Primera) was at 250k, my Civic was at 190k, my Dad's Accord was at 300k, and they are still running. I'm pretty sure Japanese cars can hit that with out their headliner falling off. Not that Euro cars can't make it though, we had a Jetta, it lasted at least 250k(Odo was broken), but the entire electric system and interior(especially the headliner) were not seeing their best days.

How come this dang video never plays through?

Thanks for the info, Nick. 215K is very impressive. Don't see many (or should I say, ANY) Japanese cars hitting mileage numbers like that.
