See http://amasci.com/maglev/magro... EM repulsion lifts a neodymium magnet above two spinning copper pipes. Also see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... I bought my supermagnets from Mr. George "magnetman," also from wondermagnet.com. The pipes are thick-wall schedule-80 copper pipes from the scrap bin at Alaskan Copper and Brass. The motor is a replacement sewing machine motor from Grainger catalog. Speed control is a 1000-watt triac lamp dimmer.

Hey Put steel Powder or steel Dust to see what happens. Maybe Even a Shreaded Magnet

what if you put more mass in the pipes like birdshot

>Please fix: Video no longer available.. Works fine. Sometimes if you view once and then return later, it get's confused and won't work. Just reload the page.

it sounds weird i can not imagine it

I was thinking that thinner metal might still work at about the same speed if the supermagnets are smaller- presumably everything scales down (including the levitation gap). You get a higher spatial frequency with small magnets and I think that compensates. I really need to put my ubernerd hat on and do the calculation.

I think you'd have to change the geometry for that to work- if you move the rods further apart then the repulsions will largely cancel, but the overall drag will still act vertically, and if everything is just right it should be stable I think. But the stability region may be fairly small.

y dont you fucking try to shove you dick in that in hope to make it longer. you ass, it was only a fucking question. look who woke up with a dildo up his ass.

Hehe... If he made it spin the other way 'round it would just shoot the steel ball out into the room and probably kill someone.
