he has heroics and potentual practically doubling his atack then bow 3 has higher levels leading to more damage

to level up your hunter rank, you will need to do the huting quests in the guild hall, the chieftans quests are what i use to get materials, mainly cos ive can get monoblos D from it now, all though im starting to try and raise my HR, bit embarassing to have rathian blade and gun, basarios blade, monoblos gun and full obituary, when im only HR2

try using something with the adrenaline skill like monoblos
Monoblos armour needs
10 shells
12 spines
6 blood red horns
9 machalite ore
5 ioprey hides
2 killer beetles
4 monster fluids
4 lg moster bones
or around about that amounts, i scribbled out what i needed as i got the stuff
should take you 6-7 runs of monoblos farming if you cut off tail and horn, i used full rathian to get health +30 and poison negated with eager cleaver (Dont judge ok? i was HR1 at the time... still only HR2 :P)

how the hell did you kill it with prominence bow, I tried with promincence bow II and lost but I was still fighting till the last end and it didnt even run and I was using full rahtalos
