I have had several rotaries starting in 1974 with the RX2; i overhauled that one because of faulty o-rings, and did research with Jay Storer (Peterson publications) into bridge porting; supercharging; anti-reversionary extraction exhaust headers, locked hardened stationary gears, injection and internal relieving techniques for running up 14,000 rpms. Ran a bug eye sprite in gymkhanas with a rotary.... never had to shift! Small the size and weight they make great aircraft and power plants.

my old '79 rx-7 had a 12A rotary. It made all of 100hp stock, maybe 115 after bolt-ons and a 2 bbl holly carburator. fun car, but I wouldn't consider it "fast" by any means :-/.

Dude no offense but most chicks dont have any understanding of cars anyway so just because one likes a particular car, that doesnt make it good. Chicks like convertibles but that is horrible for performance. People dont buy 86's for status, they buy them for handling. the 86 is one of the most balanced platforms ever, ive seen properlly built 86s beating z06s, vipers chargers mustang gts etc in time attack competitions.

lol, corvette? didn't use to be cool in the 80s? v8's are a thing of the past fonzie theres 12a rotary engines which is 1200cc that would eat a 5.7 350 chev or even a stroked 350/383. do some research on the rotary engine iis impressive for its size and cubic capacity

Actually the righteous airbrushed volcano painting doesn't really add any horsepower; but most people think it adds like 100 to 200 horsepower.... The erupting volcano implies unlimited power under the hood, so most people point and stay out of my way...Except chicks, they are totally drawn to it. The mountain mural on the side is cool too, but it was made for a van. Chicks like to sit in my Vette and play with my C.B. radio. They never seen one before.

mmm... well it kinda looks the contrary as soon as the white corolla speeds up the red one speeds up too, if you look closely to the lines of the road you will see that it doesnt slow down but acutally keeps the speed and then speeds up to catch with the white corolla
