thanks again. another teacher claims to teach a yang form, but his style is very deep, low, very hard to do his form, he says it is "yang" but it seems very different from any yang form, he claims to also teach northern Shaolin. He also claims to be the Taiwan full-contact champ, and killed a man in the tournament. He moved to USA at about 1975

You are welcome! Northern Shaolin martial arts use legs more than the Southern Shaolin style. We called "Nan Quan Bei Jiao" the Southern strong at fists and the Northern strong at feet.

Xie xie, that would probably be correct, he has taught us about half of this form, and it is about 12 moves.
Do you, or anyone else, know anything about northern Shaolin style? And tournaments in China?

It may be the (Standard) Simplified Tai Chi Form 24. It is the internally popular routine. You can preview the routine at website taichihealthways dot com

I just signed up for some tai chi, from a teacher through Buck Sam Kong's Hung Gar, and I am trying to find out what he is teaching us, he calls it "international" YANG style?
