does anyone notice how he clips some of the rhythms in the beginning? it's too catchy not to do it having this recording in my ears for so long hahah love the man

For people complaining about the tempo, I believe he did it faster because back then they were using 78rpm records that could only hold a couple of minutes.

About the title: It's believed that Casadesus wrote this piece, but realizing that his work wouldn't be taken seriously, put Handel's name on it to make it a success. He's done this on other pieces as well, so the next time you see the author as Handel/Casadesus, it's not that they wrote it together, but rather that Casadesus used Handel's name. I recently played this without harmony for a state audition which I was admitted. One of my favorite pieces for sure. |
