It's so cool no one cared how the other moved, they just danced. There is so much shame in dancing (these days) it is pathetic But I danced anyways and I became one of the best dancers (in my little town)

I love how the dancers are go-go-ing at 2x or 3x to the beat of "Laugh, Laugh". Great song--thanks Sal, and Sly....

it's funny remembering back to when the only way an American band could sell was by looking & sounding English

They also had another hit, maybe not quite as big on the charts, but just as good or even a little better in my opinion. It was "Just a little". This song, "Laugh, Laugh" had sort of a Beatles sound while "Just a little" had a very different sound. Both great songs!

This tune is so far ahead of its time it defies belief. Neither Cole Porter, nor Richard Rodgers, nor Harold Arlen, ever wrote a tune with more snakey, yet absolutely logical, changes, than this tune.

It was how people danced in that era. Unfortunately or fortunately I was a part of that era. There was a dance in our area called "The Sosh" that was perfect for this song and others like "Five O'clock World". "Aint Too Proud to Beg"
