I love this song so I put some gathered pictures to it that are significant to its theme. Some people think that I am trying to equate Hitler and Stalin to Castro and to Bush. Let me be clear that I am not. They were all simply involved in world conflict somehow. No Bush hasn't killed 60 million people. Neither did Castro. But they have all contributed to problems in this world. And times are getting ever the more dangerous with a cowboy in charge of the world's largest military. Belligerent comments will be deleted. This means no profanity, racism, sexism, vulgarity, etc.

I have 1 complaint. Who would trust there life to a table. I know it relieves the fear for little children, but a table won't stop you from getting vaporized. Still, a very good an inspiring song.

I wish I had a nickel for every kid in film making classes in the the late 60's/early 70's who did their final grade project using either this tune, or Buffalo Springfield's "For What it's Worth"-with Nam war pics. I'd be a rich man. Still, I love McGuire's rough voice. And the righties of the time (YAFers and such) had their own knockoff version of "Eve of Destruction": "The Dawn of Correction". Like most knockoffs, it was pretty lame by comparison.

The human race will always be on the eve of destruction, that is the way we all are and that is the way we always will be. I lived these times that all these pictures show for 56 years now, and nothing has changed, and it just keeps getting worse in the world. Great protest song, And look what is going on right now with the protestors for the McCain Presidency.

My impression of the US govt, is a war mongering, capitolizing deceiptful entity, that needs to show some sort of respect to their northern cousins. Not the people, just the governing body. I see the people as proud, and industrious, but, misguided. There are many of those that see the same view as I. Pentagon....Missile gone awry.(No trace of the plane was found, We all know that plane engines take more than jet fuel to melt them) Twin towers...Iconic symbol that can be used as a chess piece)

Yes. South america already supplies the states with fossil fuels. Remember the oil field destruction by hussein? He took that route to cover his butt(distraction), and to not give in to demands. Iraq did the same thing. Said no way, and stayed unprovoked. States needed a reason, and went ahead with all hell. Bush was seen having coffee with bin laden, and now he's made top 10 most wanted...why? Cuz he said screw you for my oil!? And thanks, we take pride in Our Countries scenery and people.

I believe those are the pictures of Abu Ghraib (? spelling) prison where Iraqui detainess were held. Some of the American soldier gaurds forced them into various demeaning poses and took pictures for their amusement. Pictures were then leaked to NY times which published a lot of them. The prison commander was fired from the Army after an internal investigation

So you really the the United States government murdered the thousands of people who lost their lives in the 9 / 11 attack. yeah, so you have freedom of speech, but that is one hell of an accusation. So why not attack South America with its oil / gas at 70 cents per gallon? The United States has plenty of oil. Again, you have freedom of speech, but I emphatically disagree. By the way, Canada is a great country, and is very clean.

So you believe it was "left" by a terrorist? So a terrorist went into a building with a passport to identify himself?? Like I said, the conspiracy theories have been completely debunked. Not worth anyone's time....
