Doesn't it seem a waste to send a Little Bird ahead of an Apache, instead of a little robot UAV that can do the same thing?

In the Vietnam war, the little bird traditionally scouted ahead of the Cobras...it's nice to see they have kept the tradition alive (and their enemies dead?! hahah)
