i had found this video on Chris pirillos youtube and i thought it would be great to share it with u he explains the difference between DVI and VGA. in my videos i show you how to connect a vga monitor on a dvi and how to set up a dual monitor in the link below http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... http://live.pirillo.com/ - Should you go DVI or stick with VGA? Well, if you get a new video card that only supports DVI you could go with a DVI-to-VGA adapter. Which one is better? That all depends.

dvi holds up to 1080p resolution easy without signal loss or compression issues, the only way for vga to even be anywhere near as good would be through it's own source being sent out and it's not as crystal clear. Also being that it's analog, quality of the signal will depend on the cord or any form of electrical interference. Personally I'm sticking with vga until the lag issue is resolved considering I'm a gamer.

so a dvi adapter will translate the vga signal to dvi right? but you loose a little bit signal, is that correct?
