I'm not an avid PC gamer. I just want to do 3D modeling and some music production. Would the Intels be better for such tasks?

AMD is just better for gaming, the memory bandwidth helps. my old nforce chipset runs hot but, it will outperform newer intel chipsets when it comes to memory bandwidth.

True. Even though AMD's cpus don't measure up to the Intel's in terms of raw power, AMD's motherboard chipsets more than pick up the slack for performance.

This is in fact the best onboard video available atm, *HOWEVER* those 780g Northbridges run mighty hot. I'm doing research on mother boards atm and there's quite a few people with horror stories about smoke/fire etc. I'm still going with a 780g Northbridge even though I've read this information but it's something to consider. Still DirectX 10 with acceptable performance in most of todays top games is a pretty tempting thing to have! I have a spare 8800 gt and 8600 but I may try the onboard out.

putang ina ang nag upload ng video na to. gago ka gago ka. ulul pa, amoy anghit.meron ako 2 d2 na AMD Processor pero tinapon q na ambagal kc. pinalitan ko na lang ng Q6600, eto ay napakabilis at nakapaglalaro pa aq ng walang lag. kamukha mo si tarupit.
