no problem with that...engineer of the V150 operation where suprised but this train is incredible! maglev type of train need to show that this is a safe train...(transrapid accident..)

Guys you know what.....TGVs looks cool at that speed but travelling at that speed with a TGV is less safer than maglev trains because the tyres of TGV trains can wear out at that speed but maglev trains dont touch the rails ...nothing wears out.

awesome TGV - SNCF France 574 km/h IC - PKP Intercity 160 km/h no comment

AGV engine are very powerfull with 25k in the cable...more than the ICE3...perf will be better than a poor 408kmph..
benoit91220 (October 2, 2008 at 12:21 pm)
claimed!lol.. don't care or be inform and admit that the v150 could run at 600kmph! no proof=no value

@benoit: 408 km/h but Siemens claimed that they didn't go full speed. Minimum 420km/h is possible. If you want I will post the Link, but you wouldn't understand. What happens with you AGV when you lower voltage on normal standard? There are only 25k on the cable. And additional engines waste a lot of money, for serial issues absolutely inproper. Beside of many other modification which were made. We will see if Alstom is able to catch up with Siemens in 2015, also in terms of steady states...

an ICE had made a top speed at 404kmph not 420(just in your dream)...

Cre7tiv= jealous many test during many month with the V150 to test the new engine of the AGV succesor of the TGV,the new line, many things to built the best higth speed train..and be sure that runing at 300-360kmph with an altsom train is safe with a marge of more than 200kmph no problem! to be sure that everything is good not like the ICE who ave sheaty wheels for exemple

This highly ineconomic train doesn't exist as an usable commercial train. Lifetime was 10 Min., costs 45 Mio. Dollar for one test-run. Highly modifications where made, extra engines, big wheels, sharpen tracks & super-high voltage. Not usable for commercial issues due to high costs. Just a one-time-prestige-test without relevance to real trains. Record-holder of serial trains is the german Siemens-Velaro which runs ca. 420 km/h. French need other propulsion systems and higher steady states.
