Cleese looks so inbred and retarded! BTW Benny Hill was advertised as funnier than Monty Python by a UHF station (WLVI TV Channel 56 in Cambridge, Mass) that ran both! I agree!

A good few years after! I remember watching this when I was small, and my only thoughts were "Oh my, he's going to get in trouble for doing that to his guests". Isn't that the point? Like the reaction with the black doctor earlier on in the episode, it's just showing Fawlty up to be an idiot. Brilliant series (both of them) - not a bad episode out of all of them.

Was this made before or after the 'Ministry of Silly Walks' skit?

i think its awsome how he twists his leg right round haha
7SleepersDen (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
HA HA! Those are his real legs. John Cleese is just a tall, skinny man. The reason that talking about the war is still a bit taboo is that this is the 70's, and as such is only about a generation from those who fought in WWII. Of course this show always seems to like subjects that are/were a bit taboo.

HAHA why are his legs so unnaturaly long? |
