"Naivity is the main cause of virus infection where people believe their OS is safe."
I realize that. I never said it was "Safe". I simply said it is Safer than a PC.

have not done my research? There have been many, many vulnerabilities documented in Mac OS X. This is NOT NEWS. CERN has a ton of them. It's a damn Open Source system -- the vulnerabilities are right there for you to read about! As i said before the only reason mac's suffer less viruses is down to numbers. Same as other lesser used OS's. Yes the mac is more stable than a pc but far from safe. Naivity is the main cause of virus infection where people believe their OS is safe.

Mac's aren't as stable as everyone says... The Adobe suite itself crashes far more than on PC's.
Fr0stBlade (October 11, 2008 at 10:15 pm)
Huge misconception. That is not the reason Mac is safer than PC. Mac is actually build to be stable, unlike PC. The reason PC has about 10000000 different viruses is because it is build nothing alike Mac and has so many loopholes that other people can abuse. For Mac, there have only ever been a few loopholes that could be abused.
You obviously have not done your research..

not true mac's are not better protected just in the minority. A virus designer generally goes for the biggest target audience(PC)because they know that most people have a pc. There are a few viruses out there for mac's and actually i would prefer to run linux which is far more stable than windows or mac's. Mac's are far from being bombproof dont be naive thinking you are safe.
Fr0stBlade (October 11, 2008 at 9:21 pm)
I agree that the new PC's are good. I like both OS's. But the simple fact that macs are still much better protected against everything is a huge role.
I would rather have something i know i can spend time/work on and not lose it all to a stealth virus.

I think it's a biproduct of the screen recording program. It gives the cursor a small "halo" so it can be seen easily.
wildinuk01 (October 11, 2008 at 2:22 pm)
not true mac's were originally better for graphics based programmes so many people learnt on mac's pc's are now more and more capable and can easily perform against a mac hence why many companies are now changing over to PC's
