I agree with you, but considering the MP7 was designed to be in direct competition with the P90, you figure the MP7 would have some advantages. Not sure what they are, if any. P90 has a higher mag capacity (50) and a larger bullet (5.7mm) that has already been proven to be effective against body armor (you say it is more effective, I'll take you at your word because I can't say for sure). Plus the design of the P90 has the MP7 beat in several ways. MP7 is only gaining popularity because of H&K.

P90 rounds (5.7*28), has both higher firepower and penetration.... P90 has beaten MP7 on the PDW market. (plus, the hands are closer in shooting position, making it easier to handle)

lol i used that weapon in bf2 ...and it sucks but i bet its better in real life
