well i'm sure your right about that. robotech has been off the radar here for some time except to those who make an effort to keep track of it. i love the macross series....i just think that the epic nature of robotech was a better fit for the u.s market.

Even though Macross Frontier or any other Macross series haven't aired in Finland, I'm pretty sure they're better known in here than Robotech. Only those who had Super Channel in the 80's have seen the Robotech version of Macross.
And I've read that Harmony Gold doesn't advertise Robotech that much in the US either.

well think about it man....only the really harcore anime fans out there even bother to look for something like macross. the mainstream has ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA that it even exists. you probably can't understand that because you did the digging or someone clued you in. where do you see macross advertised? nowhere. how manypeople did YOU have to intoduce to it? probably eveyone you know right? that's how.

well unfortunately it doesn't. i think the quality of the ova's are heads and tails above the robotech visuals but....i think the robotech story blows em away.
