Okay...I mean, I respect your opinion, and as a Yank, I have less knowledge of British humor, absolutely. Spike Milligan I only know about through references...The Goon Show, early Peter Sellers, George Martin's work. It's all just bits and pieces. Dudley Moore. I came of age with Python in the PBS broadcasts which aired here in the mid-70's, at least 5 years after the original BBC telecasts. No arguement here my friend... I love Python...we share that. Take care.

I'm not arguing anything. I was responding to a comment regarding the origins of this sketch & the widely held belief that Monty Python are original. The sketch is not original & nor is Python's brand of humour. But like I said, few ppl in the United States know who Spike Milligan is. Find someone else to practice swearing at.

Every comic legend gladly admits that they nicked ideas and bits from thier idols (not Eric Idles...). To make this stupid arguement is a waste of time. EVERYONE that's been in the business acknowledges it! Fuck. NOBODY in the troupe would say they invented it, and for you to make such a claim shows how fucking little you know about Python.
