With all due respect, if you are going to do those "hardcore dancing" you've got to be able to sing correctly with all of those, that's definatly not an excuse.. i've seen many performers that do more on stage and get along with the singing. besides that it seems a bit snoobish - "performers like us"... that's like putting myself with mozart on the same sentence because we both play classical music (well, one of us used to). Other then that, ND rule :)

any intonation issues you might think make her sound tone deaf are completely intentional. sometimes performers like us get bored and have to spice things up. a live performance is never going to or supposed to sound exactly like a studio album. she can obviously "hit the high notes" i mean she does it on the album and in hundreds of shows, maybe she lost her breath from all those ballzy calisthenics she's doing up there...singing while doing hardcore dancing acrobatics ain't easy friend.

if any of you have played to a massive audience like i have, you'd know that there are monitor issues which sometimes lead to singing out of key. she's got a fantastic ear, and has an amazingly unique and strong voice. her pipes are sick dude, so stop nitpicking. this is one of the greatest bands ever so gimme a break calling her tone deaf man, that just makes you sound like a total idiot.

I think No Doubt is awesome. And to all the people bashing Gwen and her singing, why don't you try dancing, jumping, running around and singing without being off key or out of breath. It's very hard to do! No Doubt rocks. =] Gwen's my idol. =]

she sounds tone deaf because she really isnt singing. in this song she mostly says and raps the lyrics. it def harder to rap live than it is to sing
