Get your facts straight. Libertarians believe in SMALL local governments. The governements ONLY job is to defend the peoples rights, from domestic and foreign threats, thats IT. That is small government. Ron Paul absolutely does not want creationism taught in science class; your probably one of those same morons who believe that he is racist right? Because all old white men have to be racist... As for cutting taxes, all i can say is take a basic economics class

Why not Kucinich?
Ron Paul is a...gynecologist.

I love Dr. Ron Paul. He's one of the most genuine politicians ever, based on his past voting record. He's consistent, never taking any bribes. Why didn't he get the Republican nomination?! I'm gonna write him in on my ballet. He's the only one strong enough in character to deserve my vote. Please vote for this man, if only to avert WWIII. *Ron Paul 2008!*

As a liberal, I would be f*cking ecstatic to have him as President.
Ron Paul is the most educated, aware candidate.
I do mean that I'm liberal, too. Extremely.

You know nothing apparently.

Ron Paul wants the federal government to not dictate what is taught in public schools, and to repeal the federal no child left behind act. The main idea behind libertarianism is that centralized government does not know how to run any one persons life. Laws that may be good for texas may not be good for new york. As such, the term big government does not refer to it's size, but rather it's centralization. centralized government is bad, decentralized government is good.
Xerock (September 5, 2008 at 5:35 pm)
What is with the conservatives and this small government bullshit?! First, if size had anything to do with the amount of power in government, wouldn't a larger government with more branches divide the power up so that no one person could have all the power? Second, if less government meant less power in government then why do terms like monarchy and dictatorship go hand in hand throughout history. You don't need a large government to deny civil liberties, but you need do one to enforce liberties
Xerock (September 5, 2008 at 5:24 pm)
Because other than the fact that Ron Paul wants Creationism taught in science class, Libertarians tend to have no concept of the reality that cutting taxes and undermining the social infrastructure of America is not going to do anyone any good.

get over him already
gotchasilly (September 5, 2008 at 12:52 am)
As a libertarian I agree with Paul on some issues, but this I can't digest:
opposition to energy independence
anti-separation of church and state
anti-free trade
pro-removal aliens' birthright citizenship
homophobic
racist (it's true)
anti-gender-equal pay
anti-women's reproductive freedoms
Yeah, Obama is a fascist, a communist, marxist and probably an anti-Christ, too! Lol. |
