This song supports the old saying of - "less is more". Grandpa describes two forms of brotherhood, natural, & that obtained in the service of our country. Also it's obvious that Grand Pa is still very much in love with the woman that he married so many years ago. Mr. Johnson - Thank you for a fantastic album - & "stay out of trouble". Folks - if the last part doesn't make sence - pick up his album & it will be clear after the first track. Thanks Again!!!

This song rocks! In this day where things come so dam easy with all we have. It was a struggle back then. My mom told me of hand me down shoes in the 40's during the war with holes in them. Growing your own food because things were rationed. While Gramps was over there on Saipan kickin some Jap ass in a war we didnt want. It was tough...real tough.

I totally agree, My Dad just passed away Aug.21, 2008, and we've been gathering pictures for Fridays Memorial,so this song really hits home for me. Love his old style of twangy good ole country music, Love it,

I know how you feel, my grandfather passed on in august of last year and my grandmother isnt doing too well either. I am going to make a slideshow with old pics of them and this song to make her feel better. Watching this video just absolutely brings tears to my eyes everytime I watch it.
