Capitalism (1948)

Another winner from Coronet Instructional Films! In this one, a group of teenagers on a high-school radio program discuss just what capitalism is, seizing onto the example of the butcher who supplies the weenies for their picnic. A bona fide capitalism love-in! Weenie references fly fast and furious here. Capitalism is one of many "free-enterprise education" films released in the first few years of the Cold War. Unlike many films produced under corporate sponsorship, it avoids taking jabs at socialism, Russia or New Deal government programs. Nonetheless, it uses the common Coronet device of showing a group collectively engaged in coming to terms with an idea -- a process with predetermined conclusions. In this respect, I imagine that it's not so different from Soviet educational films.

Maybe we should try instituting in the capitalism in the U.S. It looks it might be a good idea, for the government to stop controlling everyone.

"Non-Agression pact between USSR and Germany mean nothing" You mean Molotov-Ribbentrop pact? So what? Hitler hade such pacts with everione, USA, UK, and even with atll Africa countries. Will of people is a mih. Take look at USA elections... Always wins man who spend more money for PR.

"Without USA, there will be no HitlEr and WW2" Did the will of the German people mean nothing? The majority of Germany supported him. In hindsight we all wish we could change the past, but you can't say that the U.S. created Hitler. Also, did the Non-Agression pact between USSR and Germany mean nothing? USSR gave raw materials and food to Germany to insure "peace", what did Adolf do with those raw materials? The U.S. did very well, economically, after the war. Because Europe destroyed itself.

NAZI Germany (socialist) America was sponsore of NSDAP-hitlers party. America was the only one who gave money to Hitler. Without USA, there will be no HitlEr and WW2 (by the way, USA made huge money on WW2) I call WW2 - capitalistic war 2. First was in Europe. US economics nead wars every 50 years. Last 20 years america eating body of USSR, now USSR body is ended, and US nead new war. Get ready.

...and in the US this is what is happening. All of these companies are going head to head, in order to establish monopolies over their respective industries. I'm not arguing with you on the little tidbits of Unionized Labor and choice, I'm just saying the U.S. is capitalist, and unfortunately its continued imperialist nature will hurt its future once corporate greed decides to make profits by hiring oversea workers, and rendering the average Joe unemployed and broke, crumbling the economy
