Can someone tell me where i can find the part in which Joshua plays piano at school?

However, on the flip side there is something to be said for being bold enough to test one's theory no matter how far from society's norms it takes you.
The point of my statements were to put oneself into the shoes of another. Can you put yourself into Joshua's shoes? How about Richard Loeb? Nathan Leopold? You have to take the emotion out of it. See the beauty of plan. Appreciation of the realization that because of your outsized intellect you can lord over others.

Webster's defines intellectualism as devotion to the exercise of intellect or intellectual pursuits. You may find in your life whether now or later that "intellectualism" as an aim is always a good thing. It should not infringe upon the safety of thers. Beyond that it is awesome.
Besides I did not assert that intellectualism redeemed their murder. Killing another person, unless in self-defense, is imo never justified and can't be redeemed.
TheLastPictureShow (August 27, 2008 at 12:57 am)
Intellectualism is not in and of itself a "redeeming quality". And suppose Leopold and Loeb were, as you say, seeking to empirically test their hypothesis of the "perfect murder", what of it? That hardly redeems their act. |
