I live upstate New York and we've never had a supercell thunderstrom hit but we have had Severe thunderstorms with whats called a hook action and if there is enough rotation in the clouds a tornado can form. We have had an F2 touch down with sustained winds in access of 140 mph in Westcheaster in the the summer of 2006 and the whole town looked like warzone.

I've filmed my fair share of these things, quite the rush, isn't it!! This is an excellent vid, btw, how's the storm season up north this year? It's been interesting in southern alberta so far in '08...

On the tape it says this video was shot at 11:00 pm, and 12:00am, power was out until 2:30am. Power was out precisely from 11:45pm-2:30am, to be precise 2 hours 45min.

that storm that hit Wetaskiwin Hit Edson first. It wasn't too bad in Edson but the Lightning was Amazing!
