I love his tuning for this soundtrack from Mario Bros. You know, I believe a memorable drummer is someone who can find the suitable tone for their drums to take place in any music. You can roll and fancy, but I strongly believe that tones counts best!

I would think you mean how, and it could be the heads, he's good with the doubling, maybe it's cause he probably has the mic directly in the drum, maybe he has something to change the sound, like dampening it, or he could really know how to tune one hell of a bass drum, I'm not sure. But I AM sure it sounds fucking awesome
