Basically you cant buy your 100 doller nikey shoes if there wasn't a some poor 3rd world child to make it for 50 cents an hour...Nor buy your cheap vegetables if there wasn't some poor mexican exploited to pick them. So in a nut shell...thats the only way a developed capitalist country can have more capital and a larger middle class, through exploitation business grows and classes are created..So i fail to see why you think capitalism allows for everyone to be equal? Did you mean communism?
thetacogangsta (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
yes and these countries with a more developed middle class are able to enjoy more resources due to the exploitation of underdeveloped 2.3rd world capitalist countries. Also if u study economics, you will see under capitalism it is IMPOSSIBLE for everyone to be equal. Because as I said, this is a system based on classes and it would collapse with out the exploitation of the working class.

Not true, capitalism allows for everyone being equal, just look at the huge middle class in many developed countries. The problem with feeding everyone else has to do with infrastructure and bias. Capitalism has allowed for the feeding of many more people than ever before. However, the more you feed people the more your population grows and it is cyclical.

When you say half our population is starving, im assuming your suggesting its because there isnt enough resources to go around due to over population. HOWEVER, i say its due to the world being capitalist, which is a system based on classes. Which means the system would collapse if you didnt have the ultra poor, middle class which must exist and submit to exploitation in order for the rich/rulling class to maintain its power.

This ignres the obvious economic fact that increased population increases land and natural resource values. We leave most of this in the hands of a relative few of our kind who do not create that value. God wanted us to be fruitful and multiply but he also said do not steal. The private collection of community created land and natural resource values is a form of theft that is so utterly unquestioned that even most good people accept it and leave them no choice but to blame "over" population.

We wont be effected that bad, its central America, middle east and India that is having 5 to 7 children average, while western world is maintained at the current rate, so global warming will make take out African agriculture, then they 'll all starve to death, the equation is canceling itself out, so the problem will fix itself

Starvation is a problem of logistics. Enough food is made in the world just that there is really no way of distributing it to those who are poor.

That was interesting but I must add a lot of information that is based on history. First of all, overpopulation will NEVER happen: (A)Water is a scarce resource. (B)Diseases spread faster within concentrated areas of human inhabitants. (C) Natural disasters. (D)Limited land (E)The technology we have today is basic and just like our knowledge of the Earth and the Universe. Hence, Mother Nature will take control and revive the Earth through time.
