In RnL mod, when I hear the "ping" I come around the corner and blow the users brains all over the wall behind him :)

what a shame. Now its weapons are just another face in the crowd.

yea ubi wanted HH to appeal to casual gamers so gearbox had to noob the weapons

The originals were done perfectly, HH was way more cheesy with the weapons, I think Ubisoft had a lot to do with that.

Out of character count.. Perhaps they saw the m1 to be over-powered and they did something? Anyway that is still wrong, the only way to correct all this is to make all the sequences mentioned above, but that would take time for the developers to get everything right, even adding the "add bullets" option to make it more realisitic, or you could just replace the clips and reload every 2 shots...

Talking about BIA:HH, haven't played the rest. True, but reloading mid-clip everytime is a bad thing, so you have 4 clips, 5/8, 3/8, 4/8, 4/8 it'll take time to load them into 2 whole clips. In BIA, you see the player adding full clips, not used ones so thus, the game has to deal with clip based ammo and you also have to know how much ammo you have in each and the option to add them together, which is total complication. Firing off your ammo (in a game) is a simple way, but also wrong.

BIA has the partially fired clips put into your ammo counter, and you can partially load them later when you get lower on ammo. As opposed to firing off rounds just to load a new clip, in real life, that's VERY dangerous, it gives your position away, wastes ammo, and increases your chances for a malfunction, thats why reloading mid-clip is much more practical. Yes it does take a few seconds, but then again, so does every weapon, you just find good cover, THEN reload, just like with every weapon

My bad about that. It should be unrealistic because if you have X/8 bullets left you can't reload the m1 to "add" your bullets back to your ammo indicator, unless the game is based on clips like BF:1942, if you want to do that as i said it takes time if that is possible. But yes, you can reload the clip by replacing the used clip, but that's not what I'm talking about.

And COD is wrong when they say you cant reload the M1 mid-clip, thats false information, you CAN reload the M1 Garand at any time.
LoneWolf051 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Theres no "ping" when theres bullets still in the clip, thats only when the clip is empty, and BIA HH is incorrect, you have to eject the clip first, then insert a new one, the first BIA games were correct, you manually ejected the clip, then put a new one in. And it doesnt take long to reload, I can do it in about 3-4 seconds. If it were impossible to reload, it would have never been issued in the military. Type in "M1 Garand reload" here on youtube, there all kinds of videos about it.
