Thanks! This was shot on a Sony DCR-TRV33 miniDV camcorder. It was recorded in standard definition and upload to YouTube using a lossless encoding process.

Hi Tim - It's because I have one of YouTube's original 'Director' accounts. Those original director accounts, once approved, removed the time restriction, allowing the director to upload videos of any length, as long as the file size was 100mb, or less. Several months later YouTube changed that and now impose the 10 minute length restriction for all accounts, except for people with original 'Director' accounts, like me, who were grandfathered in.

WOW.... THIS is YOUTUBE?????? WOW... Btw, this is some of the 1st footage I ever saw from you Mike.... It stuck with me because of the CRAZY rainfall in the nighttime shots & the motion of the palms combined with the sound of the wind in the dayshots

Thanks Michael. This actually isn't HD, it's just regular MiniDV, encoded so that the YouTube doesn't recompress the file and lower the quality. Actual HD quality footage is much better than this.

Thanks Jim! With the quality of video cameras these days the footage, from here on out, is going to be amazing! Now all we need are the monster hurricanes...haha!
