You can ride indefinitely if you want to. It's just a case of varying the revs and not stressing the engine at max for too long. 2 strokes like to be revved but its important to move the throttle on these bikes to ensure good 2T oil movement.

how long do you reckon you could max an rs out for before u have to slow down to let it cool for a bit?

i had this bike and spent over £500 fixing it every week the 2 stroke engine is crap yet the sound and thoughts of close shaves on the bike brings a smile to my face, worth the money? well we only live once

WoW, cool! Mines an 03 model, pretty much standed apart from the CDI de-restricted and the PV etc. But still has a stsnded exhaust. Cool i will send you a PM, and we can try and arrange something.

Cool. Send me a PM. My RS is an 02 model. Has Jim Lomas Sainless exhaust, racing CDI, PiperX filter, 34mm carb, VForce3 reeds. Changed the gearing for better accel so my top end has decreased by an average of 10mph (as indicated on the clock). The engine is in need of a top end rebuild now. :-( I'm sure it's slowly losing compression. |
