Some people like it some people don't that's how music is.Get over your stupid ego and just enjoy music. I really like this version.The original and Shinedown's versions are very nice but you're comparing different things.Every band has it's own style.Get that,grow up and stop wasting your time on youtube stupid comments. cheers

It's definitely an acquired taste like a real rich dark chocolate v. a milk chocolate. The first time I heard the Deftones were doing a cover of this great song I was excited. But upon first listen it sounded off because of its separation from the original. However, Deftones' style contrasts from Lynyrd Skynyrd's, so they shouldn't be the same. I think Skynyrd would appreciate they put their own twist on it as opposed to Shinedown copying their style. Music is about one's own unique voice.
