i agree to an extent, we are underated and voilins are definetly over rated but i know we are often stuck with the really boring parts but it makes the overall piece sound good. and there are some amazing pieces with amazing viola parts and where the entire orchestra is equall, i reccomend you have a look at The Simple Symphony by Britten, or the St. Pauls suite by Holst

violas are the best, violins are overated, and composers are dumb for never giving us the melody!!! there are great violists out there, but no one will konw about them thanks to the fact that violas never have the melody by themselves...=-( copy and paste this if you agree!!! VIOLAS 4EVER!!!
